Anyone who has put a lot of hard work and effort into making their yard look nice wants to be able to enjoy it. Maybe you just want to get outdoors and get a little air or a little sun. There is nothing like lounging outside feeling the cool breeze blow through your hair. Times like these are probably the most peaceful times in life. Whether you want to lounge out in the breeze or catch some rays you are not going to want to lie in the grass. The best solution to fix that problem is to buy some outdoor furniture. There are a number of different types of outdoor furniture each with different usages and different prices.

When I think about outdoor furniture the first think that comes to mind is the good old swing. No, I am not talking about a swing set, although those are fun, I am talking about a porch swing. There are actually two types of swings a stand alone swing and the porch swing. Obviously a porch swings are swings that can be enjoyed right on your porch. Porch swings are attached to the overhead ceiling of your porch. A stand alone swing is different it doesn’t need a porch at all. In fact, if doesn’t if need to be anywhere near a porch. A stand alone swing has four legs that supports it and keeps it steady. Swings cost different amounts depending on durability and decorative factors.

The California Council for Interior Design Certification (CCIDC) board has the goal of replacing the CCRE along with the three national examinations with only a single certification examination. This will be available online at multiple examination sites across the state, starting in 2009.

During the past eight years, and as of today, to use the label Certified Interior Designer, you are required to sit for and pass one these exams - CQRID, NCIDQ, or two parts of the NKBA, as well as the additional California Codes and Regulations Examination - also known as the CCRE. Before then, passing only one required exam was required to earn you the title of Certified Interior Designer. These examinations were in supplement to the experience and education required and outlined by Section 5800 of the Business & Professions Code.

The intention of this change in exam protocol is to render the California interior design certification examination in compliance with Section 139 of the California Business and Professions Code. These changes will also make it readily available to those who fall within the three categories of education and experience under the law, as well as to those individuals with “experience only”.

A Certified Interior Designer must complete the exams and meet all other portions of the standards in order to achieve their title. The CCIDC is still recognizing the CCRE, and it has extended it its time frame for those who still wish to sit for it.

Being a fashion designer is to design clothing and accessories and to organize production and marketing of the designs. High fashion-fashion designers work for themselves and pay close attention to detailing clothes for individual clients. Some individual clients may prefer certain high-fashion designers who are independent contractors. Instead incorporating fashions created by other designers into their work for the mass-market designers employed in apparel manufacturing are responsible for less original work.

What steps are necessary to get myself ready for this job? You need to be naturally artistic and have an eye for aesthetics. This type of work is best suited for people who are self-motivated, organized and able to complete tasks without constant supervision by a boss. An extensive education is not always as important as the designer’s portfolio when searching for a job.

Formal training is still expected of designers. A degree from an institute that offers fashion design courses is a must. If you are interested in a bachelor’s degree in art or a bachelor’s degree in fashion design, either of which with an art major and an emphasis on costume design, then you can attend a fashion design school in the state of California. Other states do not provide this option.
