Addressing the Canny Investor

When trying to achieve good search engine results, remember that most search engines use a PR, or Page Rank system as a large factor in positioning.

This Page Rank system is mostly based on how many quality sites, or sites with a high pagerank, link to your site or blog, so getting as many high PR websites linking to your blog as possible is very important. The more that do (combined with other factors such as the quality of your content), the higher your blogs PR value will be, thus better search engine positioning.

The fastest and easiest way to get these high pagerank sites linking back to your blog is by joining forums that are based on your keywords. You can find the PR of any site, and you can narrow down your search to a certain set of keywords by using a free page rank tool at www.seochat.com/seo-tools/pagerank-search . They also have a bunch of other good free tools you should check out.

Anyways, go to the free page rank search tool and enter “keywords forum”, replacing “keywords” with your main keywords, or the ones you based your business on. Now go through the results and visit every site with a pagerank of 3 or better. When you visit each of these sites, look for a link to their forum, if you aren’t already in one, and register so you can post. There’s usually a link somewhere in the forum that says “register”.

Once you’re registered, edit your profile to include a signature at the end of your posts, and write a sentence to get interest in your blog. For example, my signature is usually something like:

http://make-money-with-no-money.blog-city.com - Watch me build a successful online business from scratch, with no money… and copy me so you can do it too!

Notice that I did a few things here… I linked to my blog, so now when I make a post to this forum, I’m getting a link back from a high PR site. Also, my main keywords are in the link since I named my blog using them (hopefully you did, too). Finally, I used a sentence that would spark interest in anyone reading it. And remember, you found this forum by searching for “your keywords”, so the people who visit this forum are already interested in your main topic… just try to make people want to click on your link by giving them a reason.

So now you have your signature set up. Next thing is to post to the forum. Whatever your do, though, don’t spam. Use the guidelines of the forum, and don’t ever blatently advertise. Nobody likes this, and you’ll never get clicks (you’ll probably lose your forum account too).

All you really need right now is 1 post to each forum, so maybe answer someones question in another post. This is the fastest and easiest way to get a ton of high PR links back to your site. But don’t stop there. When you have time, also keep up with your posts. Share your knowledge with others. Remember… “give and you shall receive”. If you share some good knowledge with one person, especially in a forum, others will see it too, and they’ll naturally follow you for more good information.

After you’ve gone through all of the high PR forums using your main keywords, go back to the free page rank tool and do a search for “other keywords forum”, replacing “other keywords” with some other keywords you use often throughout your content, or secondary keywords. Register and post to these forums just like you did with your main keywords.

As with directories, the more you post to, the better the results. If it helps, just do a few a day, or maybe just 10 per week. Do this for just one month and your blog will have over 40 links back from high PR sites, not including all the high PR links back from the directories you posted to. Immagine if you did 20 a week!

Money is always needed for any business to begin. If one does
not have enough funds even if advertising is done via the web,
one will just have to deal with low cost traffic sites before
proceeding on to more popular sites that will require one to pay
a huge fee just to advertise monthly.

There are countless websites in the internet and more are being
created everyday. The first thing a person needs to know is how
to build ones own website. An individual who knows how to
create a website can do it easily. If one is unsure of how to
begin, it is best to ask the help of an expert for guidance
during the construction.

If this venture is done with a group of people or a single
proprietorship, it is best to brainstorm for the best possible
domain name. It should be catchy and will easily be remembered
by people. Given that there are probably other people who have
been also been doing this, it is advisable to think of several
names in case it has already been taken.

Ones website must be updated with the times. It should have
things that have a lot of detail which will greatly increase
traffic for the site. The most important thing to do is to
determine what the person wants to do. If one is offering a
product or service, is there a need for it? Will It provide a
solution of some kind that will help improve the quality of life
for a lot of people?

Making a website user friendly is essential in making it grow.
To make sure it is good for people to visit and recommend to
others, it should be tested by friends and family members for
feedback on anything that could have been missed out. The most
important thing to remember before launching it to the various
websites is making sure that ones website is fully operational
and will not have any glitches that users will face when logging
on to it. Most people who have a bad experience will not even
visit the site a second time.

Getting low cost traffic sites to promote ones website is not
that different from doing it with other more popular sites. A
person just has to use popular keywords that will make it easy
for people to find.

One can also have an agreement with other websites that have low
cost traffic to allow the individual to place an ad using
pop-ups that users will see upon logging in.

Another way is using meta tags. This appears on top of the
website when a user logs onto it. This is very similar to keys
words used in a search engine. The only difference is that these
come in one lined texts that will also help make ones website
visible to people thus increasing traffic.

Most email sites old and new are free. Some of these are not
even aware of by a lot of people. One can have a tie up with
this company to also get exposure. Since the email site is just
getting promoted, people who do not have an account can also
sign up and be an active member which is a win-win situation for
both parties.

A product or service must always be given at an affordable
price. In order for one to be competitive, one must figure out
how ones website is better compared to the ones who are also
available. What features does it have that the competitor
doesnt? What makes it unique?

Advertising is crucial especially when a person does not have
that much capital in promoting something to the public. To
ensure the success of the venture, that person needs all the
help possible using the resources available in the net. If there
are more users who are able to log into the website, it means
more business and money. This can only happen as long as it
continues to be consistent in providing the information, the
product or service that is promised.

In order to be successful, one should be sure that there is a
customer support system or staff in place to address the
concerns of the user should any problems happen.

The amount of space debris racing around our planet from manmade mistakes is getting to be a little much and it is starting to become more and more serious. On the last Chinese orbit of a manned space satellite it is estimated that no less than 20 pieces broke lose, which is nominal in the scope of things. But consider 20 fragments of alloy spinning around the planet at 17,500 miles per hour or about 10 times the speed of a high velocity bullet. You see the problem?

Did you know that we now have systems to track such space debris because if it hits anything at those speeds it can be very serious? For instance it could go through the hull of a space ship and cause depressurization or damage systems. Or it might take out a 100 million dollar communications satellite, which may come apart causing many more pieces to be broken lose. You see the problem now?

I propose we make a space vacuum system to orbit the Earth and begin collecting space debris from failed satellites, old space junk or fragments of meteorites broken apart as they bounced off the atmosphere when deflected. If we fail to keep our near Earth Space clean of debris we will continue to pay later.

Just like we are now with pollution issues contaminating our water supplies in some regions and urban run off causing algae blooms. Hopefully we will learn our lessons and clean up the debris in space now, before it gets to be much more of a problem. Think on this in 2006.
